Shalin Naidoo was listed as one of South Africa's Top 8 Visionary CIOs by IITPSA (Institute of IT Professionals in South Africa) and nominated for 2019 CIO of the year by the International Data Corporation. He was appointed CIO of DRDGold in November 2020. Prior to this he was the CIO at Lenmed for six years. Shalin worked as an IT consultant for ten years before going to work at Anglo Platinum as a General Manager in IS. He was then the head of IT for Africa and the Middle East at Arysta LifeScience and the head of business applications SA at Tronox. Shalin has an MBA from Pretoria University and a Masters in Digital Business from Wits Business School.
