Edward Snell & Co. head of technology Kevin Fredericks joins the list of IT leaders competing for the acclaimed CIO of the Year title.
Kevin Fredericks has been nominated for the 2025 CIO Awards for his role as head of technology at Edward Snell & Co.
He joined Edward Snell & Co in 2023 and has been working to align technology with business goals. Before stepping into his current position, he was at Aramex from 2018 to 2023 where he was promoted from an initial national IT manager, South Africa role to regional IT manager, Sub-Saharan Africa.
Kevin’s tech career journey began in 2009 at the University of Western Cape as a Cisco network engineer. He spent seven years at Netspeed Technologies, where he served as a senior systems engineer and technical operations manager. Before joining Aramex, he was also an IT solutions manager at Huawei Technologies.
He joins the list of nominees contending to take home one (or more) of the nine awards up for grabs at the annual “Oscars of IT” this year, including the CIO of the Year title.
Following the success of the third annual CIO Awards in 2024, CIO South Africa continues to shine a spotlight on the finest in IT and their achievements. On 13 November, the 2025 nominees will be celebrated during a gala ceremony at The Inanda Club in Sandton.
