Sne Dlamini has been nominated for the 2026 CIO Awards for her work as AECI vice president of technology and digital.
Sne Dlamini joined AECI in 2024 and was most recently appointed group chief information and digital officer (GCIDO) at Sasol. She previously served as chief information officer at Discovery Insure and head of IT at Danone South Africa.
She is among the nominees competing to take home one (or more) of the awards up for grabs at the annual “Oscars of IT” this year, including the CIO of the Year title.
She began her career as a systems analyst at Sivelele IT Solutions.
Sne holds a master of business administration from Regenesys, a BCom honours in information systems and technology and a BSc in information technology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
Following the success of the fifth annual CIO Awards in 2025, CIO South Africa continues to shine a spotlight on the finest in IT and their achievements. On 25 November, the 2026 nominees will be celebrated during a gala ceremony at The Inanda Club in Sandton.
