Jabu has been the deputy director general of ICT for the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development since June 2023, after serving as chief director of deeds ICT for the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform between 2017 and 2023. Prior to this, he was the IT manager for Eskom between 2008 and 2017.
He started his career at Eskom as an IT programmer and systems developer in 1997, after which he worked his way to a role as a systems analyst in 2000. He became a senior systems analyst in 2003.
Jabu’s educational accomplishments include a bachelor of science in computer science and computational applied mathematics, a post-graduate diploma in management and leadership, and a master’s in business leadership (MLB).
