Theo has recently been named CIO of Liberty. Before this, he had been the CIO of Transaction Banking, Corporate & Investment Banking for The Standard Bank Group since April 2023, after serving as CIO of Africa Regions between 2021 and 2023. He also briefly served as the Head of Technology & Operation, Business & Commercial Clients, in 2021.
Theo started his career at the Standard Bank Group as an executive provincial director for North-West, Free State and Gauteng South in 2009. He served as executive head of multiple divisions, including Branch Banking, Direct Channels, Customer Planning, Service Engineering Solutions Design and Business Transformation, to name a few.
His educational accomplishments include a Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Pretoria.
