Development Bank of Southern Africa CTO Kholeka Tsotsotso has been nominated for the 2026 CIO Awards.
Kholeka Tsotsotso has been nominated for the 2026 CIO Awards for her role as Development Bank of Southern Africa’s chief information officer.
Kholeka joined the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) in 2017. Before joining the institution, she served as deputy chief operating officer and head of strategy execution and change management at VitalityLife UK. She also held senior IT and management positions at Vodacom SA, Liberty Life, Investec, Standard Bank, Ford Motor Company, Engen Petroleum and Old Mutual.
She is among the nominees competing to take home one (or more) of the awards up for grabs at the annual “Oscars of IT” this year, including the CIO of the Year title.
Kholeka started her career as a tutor and programmer at Zakheni/UCS. She holds a master’s in business administration from De Montfort University and a diploma in information technology from Van Zyl & Pritchard.
Following the success of the fifth annual CIO Awards in 2025, CIO South Africa continues to shine a spotlight on the finest in IT and their achievements. On 25 November, the 2026 nominees will be celebrated during a gala ceremony at The Inanda Club in Sandton.
