The country’s top tier CIOs prepare to step out in style, let loose, and be honoured for their exceptional work in IT – red carpet-style – on 12 November at the ‘Oscars of IT’.
On the evening of 12 November, IT leaders will gather at one of the country’s most sophisticated venues, The Polo Room in Inanda, Sandton, for what has been dubbed as the ‘Oscars of IT’, the 2023 CIO Awards.
Attendees will experience five-star cuisine, world-class entertainment, and high-level networking.
The event wouldn’t meet CIO South Africa’s standards without having one of the most sought-after entertainers in the country as the evening’s MC. We’re talking about Makhanda’s very own Unathi Nkayi, intellectual, seasoned radio broadcaster and musician. Unathi’s wit, charm and articulation skills will add unique flavour to the evening.
To maintain the level of class and sophistication this evening deserves, the Kopano Jazz Collective, an innovative jazz group including saxophonist and musical director Godfrey Mntambo, bassist and MD Angus Hardcastle, pianist Josh Mokoena, and drummers Enoch Marutha and Nicholas Bjorkman, will provide a soothing soundtrack.
Musa Motha is a 28-year-old cancer survivor and an extraordinary international award winning amputee dancer, who recently featured in the Britain's Got Talent Grand Final, and will give CIOs a taste of what the global stage experienced when Musa flew the South African flag high.
