Khetan Gajjar is Mimecast’s new field CTO for EMEA

Khetan will provide a long-term vision for cybersecurity in the region, and play an active role in shaping the industry, market, and product strategy.

Mimecast, an advanced email and collaboration security company, has appointed Khetan Gajjar as the new field chief technology officer (FCTO) for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Khetan brings more than 25 years of expertise and leadership to his new role, offering a long-term vision for cybersecurity in the region. He will actively shape industry, market, and product strategy, serving as a trusted advisor to customers. Khetan will also be responsible for recommending innovative technological solutions and incorporating customer feedback into the business’s strategic vision.

Throughout his career, Khetan has collaborated with and served on the boards of several distinguished organisations in the information and communication technology sector. Recently, he led the OpenWiFi Project Group for the Telecom Infra Project and served as a connectivity technologies ecosystem manager at Meta.

Additionally, he has been a council member of the OpenWiFi Operators Council and a board technology advisor at Benu Networks in the US. In South Africa, Khetan held executive roles at Vodacom, VAST Networks and Internet Solutions, to name a few.

Khetan holds an honour’s degree in information systems from the University of Cape Town, and participated in the University of the Witwatersrand’s management education programme.
