Mteto Nyati joins Nedbank board and group IT committee

This appointment is in accordance with Nedbank's ongoing board continuity planning.

Mteto Nyati has been appointed as an independent non-executive director and member of the Group IT Committee by Nedbank, effective 1 October 2022.

Mteto is the Chairman of Wazo Investments, a Telkom non-executive director, and the author of Betting on a Darkie. His previous positions include CEO of Altron, CEO of MTN South Africa, and managing director of Microsoft South Africa. In 2004, he was named one of Yale University’s World Fellows on Global Leadership.

“Mteto will deepen the board’s ICT, digital, commercial, and strategic skill set; we look forward to his contribution,” said Mpho Makwana, chairman of Nedbank Group.
