True I/O appoints Vincent Maher as CEO


Vincent’s appointment is the result of a new partnership between True I/O and DSG.

True I/O, a US-based blockchain innovator, has forged a strategic partnership with South African Digital Solutions Group (DSG) and appointed Vincent Maher as its new global CEO.

Vincent brings a robust leadership background cultivated in the media, digital, and mobile technology sectors. Notably, he served as the group executive for digital at MultiChoice and as the chief innovation officer (CIO) for Kagiso Media. Vincent currently chairs the Modern Marketing Association (MMA) in South Africa, underscoring his extensive experience in digital innovation. His appointment is poised to propel True I/O's endeavours in the blockchain sphere, leveraging his expertise to advance the company’s mission.

Vincent holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Rhodes University and a higher diploma in media studies from the same institution.

True I/O, is a real world asset tokenisation business, offering advanced solutions for secure, efficient digital transactions. Its two core products are Universal Communication Identifier (UCID), which empowers IT teams to rapidly stamp and track assets across various networks, and digital names, which centralises the sending and receiving of digital assets into a single, easily manageable location using human-readable names.

Thomas Carter, the chairman of True I/O and founder of DealBox, emphasises the significance of this new chapter. He views the partnership with DSG and Vincent Maher’s leadership as key elements in redefining the blockchain landscape.
