The Dimension Data executive is moving to a position at NTT, the parent company.
Zellah Fuphe, the new global chief risk and sustainability officer at Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT), formerly served as the chief corporate governance officer of Dimension Data Middle East and Africa (MEA). Prior to joining Dimension Data in 2012, Zellah was the managing director of Phembani, an industrial holding company that focuses on investing in and operating businesses and interests in the oil, gas, minerals, mineral resources, metals, and infrastructure sectors in Africa.
“I am particularly delighted with Zellah’s promotion, which will allow her to build on an established track record, with the great work that has been done in the MEA region,” says Alan Turnley-Jones, CEO of Dimension Data MEA.
“In addition to leading sustainability globally, the risk part of Zellah’s new role will include the areas of data privacy, insurance, risk management, integrity and risk management operations.
Dimension Data was purchased by NTT, a provider of business and technology solutions, in July 2010 for $3.2 billion (R56 billion). And in October of that same year, NTT made the announcement that by the end of the year, the systems integrator would be delisted from both the Johannesburg Stock Exchange and the London Stock Exchange.
