Satish has over 15 years’ experience in the financial services industries of Africa and India.
He is the former head of Sanlam’s Pan Africa motor insurance division, where he was in charge of expanding the portfolio across East and Southern Africa and building new partnerships in these regions. He also served on the boards of FBN GI (Nigeria) and Grand-Reinsurance (Zimbabwe) as Sanlam’s representative non-executive director.
Prior to joining Medscheme Holdings as an executive manager of actuarial in October 2023, Satish oversaw strategy development for the Sanlam Group.
Satish has a BComm (honours) degree in actuarial science from Stellenbosch University and is a qualified actuary from the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFA UK). He also holds an executive MBA from the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business.
