Eugene’s appointment marks Momentum’s second significant addition to its IT leadership team.

Momentum Metropolitan Holdings (formerly MMI Holdings), a South African-based financial services group, has appointed Eugene Naidoo as its new CIO. Eugene was IT executive for group human capital before being promoted to the position of CIO, where he was responsible for digital strategy, human capital innovation, agile software engineering, and data analytics.

Eugene is a technology leader with 12 years of experience in the financial services sector. He has held positions at prominent institutions including Absa, Standard Bank, Old Mutual, and Momentum, where he notably served as the head of digital workspace.

His appointment follows the announcement of Ravikumaran Govender as group chief digital and technology officer in December 2023.
