Ray Naicker has resigned from his position as group CIO at Nedbank after almost three years in the role.
Ray Naicker was appointed to the role in 2023 following the retirement of his predecessor, Fred Swanepoel, in June that year. He was promoted from group chief digital offer and has spent 15 years at Nedbank, holding several senior leadership positions across technology and digital functions.
He brings more than 20 years of technology leadership experience in the banking sector and has previously held roles at organisations including Imperial Bank. Ray has been instrumental in shaping Nedbank’s technology strategy and, under his leadership, has driven the delivery of innovative digital solutions.
Ray holds a master of engineering in engineering management from the University of Pretoria. He has also completed executive development programmes at Harvard Business School, Gordon Institute of Business Science and Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
