Sun International has appointed Leslie Peters as chief technology and product officer, reinforcing the group’s focus on digital growth and technology-enabled, customer-centric innovation.
Leslie Peters brings more than 20 years of experience in software development and gaming technology to the role. He will be responsible for leading Sun International’s technology and product strategy, with a mandate to advance the group’s digital transformation and support its ambition to become a digitally led, omnichannel gaming operator.
Prior to joining Sun International, Leslie served as chief technology officer at Games Global, previously known as Devico. In this role, he led a range of large-scale technology initiatives, including the design and delivery of a cloud-native remote gaming system. His experience spans the development of scalable platforms and the application of modern, cloud-based architectures within the global gaming sector.
Commenting on the appointment, Sun International group CEO Ulrik Bengtsson said the group is prioritising customer-centric and product-driven growth, underpinned by fit-for-purpose technology. He noted that Leslie’s appointment represents an important step in ensuring that Sun International’s technology and product platforms are aligned with its long-term strategic objectives and growth ambitions.
He holds a BSc in computer science from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
