Takealot appoints Frederik Zietsman as new CEO

Frederik will succeed Mamongae Mahlare, the outgoing CEO.

Takealot, the leading e-commerce retailer in South Africa and one of the largest, most innovative e-commerce retailers on the African continent, has appointed Frederik Zietsman as its new group CEO, effective 1 February 2024.

Currently serving as the CEO of takealot.com, Frederik will now assume the broader group role, transitioning seamlessly from his current position.

Before joining Takealot, Frederik was a revenue growth management specialist at Distell, and worked as an accountant at Lindsay Corporation.

His academic background includes a BCom (with honours) in management accounting from Stellenbosch University, and he is also recognised as a certified chartered management accountant by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
