Thabo Modise appointed CIO of Hollard Insurance

Hollard Insurance South Africa has announced the appointment of Thabo Modise as its new CIO.

With more than 15 years of experience in the technology and financial services sectors, Thabo will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of Hollard’s information technology strategy across the business.

He joins Hollard Insurance South Africa from Hollard Insurance Australia, where he served as head of the centre of excellence and director. In that role he oversaw strategic and operational initiatives that delivered advanced technology solutions to support the organisation’s growth and efficiency objectives.

Throughout his career Thabo has held senior leadership positions within prominent financial institutions, including Rand Merchant Bank and Macquarie Group. His professional background reflects a deep understanding of both business and technology, with a strong record of driving innovation and operational excellence.

As an accomplished IT professional, Thabo brings extensive expertise in IT service management, requirements analysis and a wide range of industry technologies. His appointment underscores Hollard’s continued focus on technology as a key enabler of customer value and business transformation.

Thabo’s leadership will play a central role in advancing Hollard’s digital capabilities and supporting its long-term strategic goals.
