Lineshree’s appointment is consistent with Visa’s goal of building a strong regional team.
Lineshree Moodley has been appointed as Visa’s new country head for South Africa. She will be in charge of developing and implementing Visa’s growth strategy in the region, and will be a member of Visa’s sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) leadership team.
Lineshree previously held various positions at Visa, including head of consulting and analytics for sub-Saharan Africa and, most recently, interim cluster country head for Visa South Africa. Prior to joining the company, she worked as a managing director at Accenture Financial Services (SA).
Lineshree has 17 years of retail banking experience and has had a significant impact on the future of e-commerce in sub-Saharan Africa. She has also assisted mobile network operators and fintechs in various markets across the continent in developing strategies and digitising payments.
