Zinhle Nchoba appointed CIO at Transnet Engineering

Transnet Engineering has appointed Zinhle Nchoba as CIO, tasking her with leading the development and execution of the organisation’s IT strategy.

Zinhle Nchoba brings more than 15 years of experience in information technology and has been with Transnet Engineering since 2009, when she joined as a business intelligence systems analyst. Over the course of her tenure, she has held several senior roles, including business intelligence manager, and most recently served as acting CIO.

In these positions, she has been responsible for overseeing IT operations, managing budgets, and supporting technology initiatives aligned to business objectives, including work with international development partners.

She holds a bachelor of science degree in computer science from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and a diploma in business analysis from the Faculty Training Institute.

In her new role, Zinhle will focus on strengthening IT governance, driving digital enablement and ensuring the effective delivery of technology services in support of Transnet Engineering’s operational mandate.
