Bandile Ntombela has been the CIO at the Free State Department of Health since April 2017. Before his current role, he served as the IT director at the Free State Department of Public Works and Infrastructure. Bandile has extensive experience in ICT infrastructure, governance and digital health in the public sector, as well as leading private organisations like Nedbank.
Additionally, he continues to dedicate himself to lifelong learning. Bandile holds an MBA and several postgraduate diplomas in subjects ranging from CIO practice, business administration and public health management from leading institutions such as the University of Pretoria and Wits University.
