Pumie Mphuthi is the head of IT at the Strategic Fuel Fund, a role she has held since 2023. Before joining the Strategic Fuel Fund, Pumie served as a senior director of business systems for 2U.

She previously served as general manager of enterprise applications at Distell, where she managed the day-to-day maintenance and operations of IT applications and led the effective delivery of IT services to support all business processes.

Earlier in her career, she held senior IT positions at OptiNet Systems, Liberty Health, Engen and Woolworths.
Pumie holds a BCom honours degree and a BCom in business management from the University of South Africa. She also completed an executive development programme at the University of Oxford.
