Sizwe joined Pineapple as a technical co-founder in 2017. He has been the CTO of the company since July 2020, however, after serving as the company’s DevOps lead for a year before that. Prior to this, he was a senior developer.
Sizwe’s IT career kicked off when he became a software engineer intern at Quirk Agency in 2011. He worked his way up to trade marketing intern for Pernod Ricard South Africa in 2013.
He was promoted to digital innovator in 2014, working for the company’s internal innovation division, Breakthrough Innovation Group.
Sizwe holds a BSc in computer science from the University of Cape Town.
He has been nominated for the 2025 CIO Awards for his work as the CTO of Pineapple.
