Pineapple CTO Sizwe Ndlovu joins the list of leaders competing for the 2025 CIO of the Year title.
Sizwe Ndlovu has been nominated for the 2025 CIO Awards for his role as Pineapple's chief technology officer.
Sizwe joined Pineapple in 2017 as a technical co-founder and has been CTO since July 2020. Before stepping into the current position, he spent a year as the DevOps lead, following his earlier tenure as a senior developer.
Sizwe's tech career began in 2011 as a software engineering intern at Quirk Agency (now Mirum). In 2013, he joined Pernod Ricard South Africa as a trade marketing intern and, the following year, was promoted to digital innovator within the company’s internal innovation division, the Breakthrough Innovation Group. This division reported directly to the executive committee based in Paris, France.
He joins the list of nominees who will be competing to take home one (or more) of the nine awards up for grabs at the annual “Oscars of IT”, including the coveted CIO of the Year title.
Following the success of the third annual CIO Awards in 2024, CIO South Africa continues to shine a spotlight on the finest in IT and their achievements. On 13 November, the 2025 CIO Awards nominees will be celebrated during a gala ceremony at The Inanda Club in Sandton.
