Busamed IT leader Servesan Moodley nominated for 2025 CIO Awards

Busamed group IT Manager Servesan Moodley joins the list of IT chiefs competing for the acclaimed 2025 CIO of the Year title.

Servesan Moodley has been nominated for the 2025 CIO Awards in recognition of his work as the IT leader at Busamed.

Servesan’s healthcare IT career began at Netcare Umhlanga Hospital where he served as the IT administrator. He has since worked as an IT administrator and field engineer at Ethekwini Hospital & Heart Health Centre and GE Healthcare.

With a career spanning over 20 years, Servesan has led several greenfield hospital projects and acquisitions. Academically, he holds a national diploma in information technology, a bachelor of technology in IT, and a postgraduate diploma in management from Regent Business School and PRINCE2 Practitioner certification.

He is among the nominees competing to take home one (or more) of the nine awards up for grabs at the annual “Oscars of IT” this year, including the CIO of the Year title.

Following the success of the third annual CIO Awards in 2024, CIO South Africa continues to shine a spotlight on the finest in IT and their achievements. On 13 November, the 2025 nominees will be celebrated during a gala ceremony at The Inanda Club in Sandton.
