Tendayi Viki, an award-winning author and corporate innovation expert, will be one of the featured speakers at the "Unicorns vs. Dinosaurs" CIO Summit on May 24, 2022 at the RMB Rooftop Venue in Sandton. Where some of the continent's hottest tech start-ups share their lessons. CIOs and entrepreneurs will confront each other's strengths and weaknesses in an open discussion that will inspire, invigorate, and energise.

Tendayi will be joined by CIOs Lungile Mginqi (Sasol), Paulo dos Santos (RMB) and Kim Sim (Mr Price), Luis Rodriguez, MD – strategy & consulting lead Africa at Accenture. Yuppiechef’s Head of Technology Deon Moolman and EasyEquities CEO Charles Savage will provide insights from successful South African startups that have made it big.

As the CIO Summit’s keynote speaker, Tendayi will get things started off by reflecting on some of the companies he has worked with around the world to help them innovate for the future while still running their businesses. His views on R&D panels, entrepreneurship and the importance of avoiding “innovation theatre” are absolutely essential fare for you and other CIOs who want to lead transformation.

And as far as unicorns and dinosaurs are concerned, Tendayi will share his insights on what and how IT executives can learn from successful start-ups, as well as which innovation strategies South African CIOs are deploying.
