CTO Kurt Kruger nominated for 2025 CIO Awards

Antidote CTO Kurt Kruger joins the list of IT leaders in the running for the prestigious 2025 CIO of the Year title.

Kurt Kruger has been nominated for the 2025 CIO Awards for his role as Antidote’s chief technology officer.

Kurt joined Antidote in 2023 after his time at SnapScan (2019 to 2023) where he initially joined as CTO and was then promoted to a CPTO role. During this time, he also served as a technical lead for Radar HR.

Kurt’s IT career began with developer and engineer roles. He eventually worked his way up to engineering manager roles at leading tech companies like JUMO and Aruba. His educational accomplishments include a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Cape Town.

He is among the nominees competing to take home one (or more) of the nine awards up for grabs at the annual “Oscars of IT” this year, including the CIO of the Year title.

Following the success of the third annual CIO Awards in 2024, CIO South Africa continues to shine a spotlight on the finest in IT and their achievements. On 13 November, the 2025 nominees will be celebrated during a gala ceremony at The Inanda Club in Sandton.
