CIO South Africa’s Principal Partner, Entelect, will hand out the Strategy & Leadership Award at the second annual CIO Awards on 12 November.
Daniel Manyemwe, chief customer officer at Entelect, explains why they’ve chosen to endorse the Strategy & Leadership Award at this year’s CIO Awards. “At Entelect, we are driven by a commitment to support great businesses in every industry who are differentiating themselves through technology,” he says.
“The Strategy & Leadership Award is an opportunity to recognise exceptional CIOs who are at the forefront of this, as they are key players in steering their companies through the complex landscape of technological advancements.”
The award recognises a CIO who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in developing and implementing effective IT strategies. The recipient should have a proven track record of aligning technology initiatives with business objectives, driving innovation, and achieving measurable results. The award also aims to recognise exceptional leadership by way of executing IT strategies.
According to Daniel, outstanding leadership in the context of a CIO and their IT strategies, requires strategic foresight, agility during uncertainty, and decision-making that optimises technology investments. “Ultimately, they balance technological innovation with business realities in a way that inspires and enables teams,” he adds.
Daniel highlights that a CIO’s skill in pairing technology initiatives with business objectives is crucial to an organisation’s overall success. As an end-to-end technology services provider, Entelect collaborates closely with CIOs and their teams daily to drive this impactful alignment.
“We have seen that when a CIO successfully aligns technology initiatives with business objectives, it creates a powerful synergy that ensures tech investments directly contribute to achieving the company’s goals, enhancing efficiency, competitiveness, and growth,” he concludes.
