Nikos Angelopoulos has been appointed as the new group chief information officer of Nedbank, bringing more than 30 years of global technology leadership experience to the bank.
Nikos Angelopoulos will step into the role of group chief information officer at Nedbank group on 1 September.
He joins the bank from MTN, where he has served as group chief information officer since 2018.
At MTN, Nikos managed technology strategy, investments, delivery and governance across 16 markets serving over 300 million customers.
With over 30 years of experience, Nikos has led digital, cloud, data and artificial intelligence transformations globally. His career includes senior leadership roles at UAE telecommunications operator du, Vodafone and Accenture.
Nikos holds an executive MBA from London Business School, where he was named on the dean's list. He also holds an MSc in digital communications and signal processing from Imperial College London. He completed his BSc in physics at the University of Athens.
