Ridwan Khan nominated for the 2024 CIO Awards

With just three months to go until CIO South Africa celebrates the nation's top IT executives, Clicks’ Muhammad ‘Ridwan’ Khan secures his spot in the race for the prestigious honour.

Muhammad ‘Ridwan’ Khan, who has served as the group head of IT for the Clicks Group since 2019, has been nominated for the 2024 CIO Awards. He joined the Clicks Group in 2014 as head of IT delivery and services and was later appointed group head of IT at Clicks.

Before joining Clicks, Ridwan was the head of IT for design at Old Mutual, and head of information systems and programmes at Investment and Asset Group. His IT career began in 2003 at Ubank (formerly Teba Bank), where he served as head of information systems.

Ridwan brings extensive expertise in end-to-end IT delivery, with a proven track record in implementing systems across retail, banking, investment, insurance, and asset administration. His experience spans both retail and financial services sectors at executive levels.

Ridwan holds a higher diploma in mathematics and computer science from Springfield College, an MBA from the Management College South Africa, and completed the international leadership programme: organisational leadership at Henley Business School.
