Tiger Brands’ Mohammed Gause nominated for the 2023 CIO Awards

The motorsports enthusiast will compete for a trophy on the evening of 15 November.

Mohammed Gause has worked in the IT industry for more than 30 years, first as an independent consultant and then as a technology consultant with Deloitte. By combining his technical expertise and commercial insight, he went from being a trusted advisor to his clients, to an IT leader in the banking and, more recently, retail sector.

He has an amazing track record of effective technological integrations and implementations. Not one to take all the credit for his successes, Mohammed attributes his success to teamwork, and prefers to work in groups rather than alone.

Mohammed began his working career as partner and delivery lead: communication and high tech group at Accenture. He later joined Barclays Africa as head of business engagement and communication, where he became head of technology at the bank. Prior to joining Tiger Brands in 2021, Mohammed was director and technology consulting lead at Deloitte.

Nominations for the 2023 CIO Awards are still open, and if you know of an IT professional who has demonstrated remarkable leadership and creativity in their role, now is your chance to nominate them.

All nominees are eligible for the CIO of the Year, Public Sector CIO of the Year, Young CIO of the Year, Strategy & Leadership, Digital Innovation, Smart Data, IT Project of the Year, Cybersecurity, High-Performance Team, and Tech Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.
