CIO Pitch Parade 2024: get ready for exciting innovations and premium networking!

post-title

The third instalment of the CIO Pitch Parade takes place on 18 July, where IT leaders will learn from CIO South Africa’s trusted partners about the latest and most innovative solutions yet.

On the back of a successful and, once again, engaging CIO Pitch Parade in September last year, South Africa’s formidable IT leaders can look forward to another insightful, fun, engaging and memorable evening – this time at a different location – The Venue in Melrose Arch.

Nicholas Goliath, renowned comedian and MC, will undoubtedly bring a much-needed smile on attendees’ faces after a long day at the office with his witty style of comedy, and CIO South Africa community manager Nomahlubi Sonjica will deliver the welcome note.

Here’s how it works

As guests settle in, presenters’ (CIO South Africa’s partners’) palms will now start to perspire as they anxiously prepare to deliver a sharp and precise presentation of their latest offerings and solutions. However, four minutes is all they have: if they go over the allocated time, they are buzzed off stage.

What’s in store for CIOs? They should gear themselves up for a quick, but insightful four-minute presentations by Sharon Maasdorp, COO at MakwaIT, Daniel Manyemwe, chief customer officer at Entelect, Auralia Edwards, enterprise architect at Workday, and Gilchrist Mushwana, head of cybersecurity at BDO in the first round of pitches.

Nicholas will then return on stage to deliver another world-class comedic set.

Round two

With thirsts quenched, appetites satisfied and funnybones tickled, Denzil Govender, CTO for software development at iOCO, Dr Angus Hay regional executive: South Africa at Africa Data Centres, and Frank Heitmuller, head of sales and strategic account manager at Communication Genetics, hit the stage to share how their solutions will not only change the way IT leaders will work, but free up some time for them and their teams to push even great innovation.

However, as things get technical and serious, Nicholas will supersize his jokes to keep the fun coming – but guests should be warned not to sit too close to the stage, as they might just become part of his material.

The final pitch

To close off the business of the day, presenters Siddika Osman, CEO at Nkgwete IT, Willie Oosthuysen, chief strategy officer at Liquid Intelligent Technologies South Africa, and Mpho Mothapo, managing executive, cloud and cloud advisory at BCX, will have their turn and four minutes to make an impression.

From there, guests will then enjoy trendy Melrose Arch at night with a round of drinks and networking – taking the conversation from the stage to a potential partnership discussion over a cold beverage.
