CIO South Africa will kick off the community’s 2026 calendar at the Sandton Hotel with a gathering designed to inspire IT leaders and set the tone for the year ahead. The Johannesburg CIO Summit will explore how data, AI, cloud, networks and people are coming together to deliver business value.

The 2025 Johannesburg CIO Summit focused on transformative trends. This year, on 12 February at the Sandton Hotel, the focus shifts to how technology leaders can integrate emerging technologies with the human element under the theme Connected Intelligence.

The summit will spark practical but thought provoking discussions on how AI, data, networks and cloud are shaping the future of IT in South Africa and redefining how organisations operate, innovate and compete.

The evening will begin with a group discussion where IT leaders will unpack how organisations can break down siloes and enable connected intelligence across people, data and technology.

This will be followed by a panel discussion featuring 2025 CIO Awards winner and Nutun group CTIO Hans Zachar; executive: information services at Afrisam Louise van der Bank and group CIO at PHA & Marara Group Vukosi Sambo.

Guests will close out the evening with networking, drinks and canapes, while reflecting on key insights and capturing photos at the famous CIO South Africa banner wall.
