With over 20 years of experience, Faith Burn has been announced as the chief technology and operations officer at the Land and Agricultural Development Bank of South Africa.

Land Bank has appointed Faith as chief technology and operations officer as part of its new strategy to ensure organisational sustainability. In her role, she will lead the design and implementation of IT and operations strategies and oversee technology services for the bank and its subsidiaries.

Faith previously served as CIO at Eskom for five years and was named Public Sector CIO of the Year at the 2023 CIO Awards. She brings extensive experience from both the public and private sectors, with prior roles at Tsebo Solutions Group, Novartis, Airports Company South Africa and Deloitte.

Passionate about public service, Faith sees strong alignment between Land Bank’s mandate to improve food security and her personal purpose. “For me this role enables me to place an enhanced focus on my objective of living a life of significance and impacting the lives of South Africans,” she says.

Outside of Land Bank, Faith is a non-executive director at the South African National Blood Service and a global speaker at industry events. She holds a master of business leadership in project management from Unisa and a master of science in mathematics from the University of Johannesburg.
