Warren Hero joins the list of CIO Awards nominees

Webber Wentzel’s CIO has been nominated for the 2023 CIO Awards.

Warren Hero, the chief information and digital officer of Webber Wentzel, has been nominated for the 2023 CIO Awards. With his strategic vision and expertise, Warren has played a pivotal role in transforming Webber Wentzel into a technologically advanced and digitally-driven law firm.

Warren has been instrumental in championing cutting-edge IT solutions within Webber Wentzel. Under his leadership, the firm has successfully embraced technological advancements, enabling lawyers and staff to deliver exceptional services to their clients.

Warren is a seasoned IT professional with extensive work experience and a strong educational background. He currently serves as the chief information and digital officer at Webber Wentzel since 2018. He also holds the position of guest lecturer at Wits University and is a founding partner at inRes. He is an active member of various organisations, including the executive committee of the ICITP since 2020, and a fellow of the ICA International Council for IT in government.

Prior to his current roles, Warren held positions such as CTO at Microsoft and CFO and COO at Eduloan. He holds a masters degree in technology and innovation from the Da Vinci Institute, and a BSc in research and statistics from Wits University.
