Bridgette has transitioned to the perishable products industry after a successful career in the petroleum sector, where she gained experience in both African and international markets.
Bridgette Daries has been appointed as the new CIO of the Perishable Products Export Control Board (PPECB). PPECB is an independent provider of quality certification and cold chain management services for South African producers and exporters, and gains a highly seasoned IT executive in Bridgette, who brings over 30 years of IT experience.
Most of her career has been in the petroleum sector, where she has held executive roles across 15 countries, gaining extensive experience in both African and global markets. Before joining PPECB, Bridgette served as CIO at Aculocity and previously held the same role at Astron Energy, where she managed substantial opex and capex budgets, aligning technology investments with Astron’s strategic goals.
Bridgette began her IT career at Chevron as an IT deskside support intern, she grew up the ranks and her last role was as SAP ABAP/4 developer/programmer. She completed her national diploma in IT at Cape Peninsula University of Technology, and has participated in the advanced management programme at Wits, as well as UCT’s Graduate School of Business’s leading executive programme.
