Lanseria International Airport IT manager Stephen du Plessis has been nominated for the 2026 CIO Awards.
Stephen du Plessis has been nominated for the 2026 CIO Awards for his role as Lanseria International Airport IT manager.
Stephen joined Lanseria International Airport in 2013. He previously served as IT manager and senior IT consultant at Petrel Computer Consultants.
He is among the nominees competing to take home one (or more) of the awards up for grabs at the annual “Oscars of IT” this year, including the CIO of the Year title.
He began his career as an operations and administration controller at Delivery Logistic Services.
Stephen holds a higher certificate in project management, an IT management certification and multiple technical and cybersecurity qualifications.
Following the success of the fifth annual CIO Awards in 2025, CIO South Africa continues to shine a spotlight on the finest in IT and their achievements. On 25 November, the 2026 nominees will be celebrated during a gala ceremony at The Inanda Club in Sandton.
