DRDGold CITO Shalin Naidoo joins the list of leaders competing for the CIO of the Year title.
Shalin Naidoo has been nominated for the 2025 CIO Awards his work as the chief information and technology officer of DRDGold.
Shalin has been the chief information and technology officer of DRDGold since November 2020, after serving as group CIO for Lenmed between 2014 and 2022. Prior to this, he was the head of IT for Africa and Middle East at Tronox (2007 and 2014).
He is in the running to receive one (or more) of the nine awards up for grabs at the annual “Oscars of IT” this year, including the prestigious CIO of the Year title.
Shalin started his career at BSCnet as an IT consultant in 1998. He holds a master's in digital business management and is currently completing his doctorate in business administration. Shalin Naidoo has been nominated for his work as the chief information and technology officer of DRDGold Limited.
Following the success of the third annual CIO Awards in 2024, CIO South Africa continues to shine a spotlight on the finest in IT and their achievements. On 13 November, the 2025 nominees will be celebrated during a gala ceremony at The Inanda Club in Sandton.
